Colour Inspirations – Navy Blue and Crisp White

Monday, January 17th, 2011

This inspiration board was inspired by an intricate patterned china tea cup in the bold colours of white and navy blue. This colour palette may be simple, but it is definitely elegant. There is something timeless and classic about a strong deep navy blue paired with crisp snow white.

For a daytime wedding use white as the main colour with a splash of navy blue to complement it and for an evening wedding you can use navy as the more dominant colour with white touches throughout.

Incorporate navy blue into your wedding with a pair of gorgeous navy blue shoes poking out from beneath your white wedding dress, a table setting of mismatched blue and white china or bridesmaids dressed in various shades of dark blue.

Vintage Lace

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This inspiration board was created around our ‘Vintage Lace‘ wedding invitation, which I thought suited a vintage inspired summer afternoon wedding glowing in a palette of sage green, tangerine orange, peach and cream. Imagine a warm summer afternoon filled with wide brimmed hats, the clinking of glasses and a game of croquet. I love the idea of a lavish dinning table and chairs setup in a country style garden where an afternoon gathering could turn into a romantic night with the addition of some lanterns and fairy lights hanging in trees.
