Real Wedding – Elizabeth & Clive

Monday, June 6th, 2011

The lovely Elizabeth & Clive tied the knot back in August last year at St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church, Balbriggan. They chose to our Love Story wedding invitation, which matched perfectly with Elizabeth’s soft rose bouquet, and carried the theme through the entire day with a range of matching stationery items like place cards, order of service booklets and bomboniere boxes. Here is some photos of their beautiful day taken by the talented Mark Griffin.

Congratulations Elizabeth and Clive and thank you for sharing some of your special day with us.

Real Wedding – Natalia & Michael

Friday, April 29th, 2011

It was an absolute delight to work on this gorgeous wedding and it is a pleasure to share it with you.

Natalia and Michael invited family and friends to “a very important date” as they tied the knot on November 26th 2010 at the ‘Lindenderry’ at Red Hill, in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula .

So much effort went into all the details of this gorgeous wedding that it was featured in the Winter 2011 issue of The Knot magazine!

Natalia and Michael’s wedding day had a whimsical ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme running through it, which they used our ‘Isabella’ stationery, with a few modifications, to invite their guests and set the tone.

The envelopes asked guests to “open me” inside which held a stationery set consisting of invitation, direction card and map and wishing well card, all held together with a belly band which stated “a very important date…”. I loved their dress code which was ‘gorgeous and whimsical’ for the ladies and for the gentlemen ‘mad hat optional’.

Natalia and Michael worked with the talented stylist Michelle Gange from Prestige Parties to bring together a wonderful whimsical wedding with so many creative and special touches that honestly made me sigh! From the  directional sign which directed their guests to “the wedding, the hotel, the tea party and the rabbit hole” to the stunning “tea party” reception decorated with beautiful vintage tea cups and English garden flowers, the “Alice in Wonderland” theme was covered in a stylish and sophisticated yet fun-filled way.

Natalia said “the highlight of the day for me, was walking down the amazing aisle with my father, in the distance I could see all the people who had helped to shape the person that I am today and my future husband  just ahead”.

The fun and warmth Natalia and Michael shared with their guests was shown in details like the guests being welcomed to the reception with a seating chart that told them that “…you’re all late to tea”, guest’s ‘welcome kits’,  with a reminder that “we’re all mad here” and a wedding video put together for the bride and groom, “by all their mad friends”. Such delightful ways to join everyone in on the fun of the theme.

I really love the thought that was put into the gifts for the guests. All the men received a pack of vintage playing cards which were wrapped and finished with a bomboniere tag by Poppiseed Designs, which read a quote by Alice “you’re nothing but a pack of cards!” and the women received some ‘Queens Tea’ whose tag included the quote  “would you like a little more tea” – Mad Hatter.

Natalia expressed her joy about her amazing day by saying “This was the Wonderland of mine (and Alice’s) dreams, mad  guests who helped to create beautiful memories, upside down vintage tea cups and saucers,  whimsical butterflies and violins, sunshine and a misty evening, a fabulous tea party with just the right pinch of silliness…. lets just say neither of us were keen to go home this time.”

Little Love Birds – Rosemary & Jamie

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

I have had the pleasure of creating the most adorable wedding invitations for a lovely couple, Rosemary and Jamie, and I just had to share. Rosemary and Jamie wanted something fairly simple and modern, black and white in colour with a contemporary font. I initially designed their save the dates with this cute and contemporary love birds, which we then carried across their entire wedding stationery. They loved it, I loved it and I hope you do too!

Rosemary and Jamie wanted to include three cards with their wedding invitations – an RSVP card, wishing well card and a directions and map card, so we designed a pocket into the invitation to keep the cards all neatly together.

Rosemary and Jamie will be tying the knot next week and we them wish all the best for a beautiful day and a happy future!

Real Wedding – Julia & Paul

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

I just love seeing photos from the weddings we have worked on and I love sharing them with you. Todays beautiful wedding is of Julia and Paul.

Julia and Paul were married at Jonah’s, Whale Beach on the 4th September 2010. They had a classically beautiful black and white colour theme, which I think you would agree, looked stunning!

Julia and Paul had a clear idea in their mind on what they wanted for their stationery so Poppiseed Designs created this simple and classic black and white wedding invitation suite consisting of save the dates, invitation, RSVP card and transport card.

Julia and Paul gave each of their guests a gorgeous cupcake made by “My little cupcake”. These were all boxed up and finished with a tag by Poppiseed Designs.

The stunning three tier wedding cake was made by Shae’s Cakes and the beautiful floral creations are by Ria Floral.

Congratualtions Julia and Paul, thank you for sharing your wedding day with us!

Real Wedding – Camille & Barry

Monday, March 15th, 2010

The lovely Camille and Barry celebrated their stunning garden wedding in November 2009 and I have some of their beautiful photos to share with you. They had a small intimate wedding at a heritage listed homestead – Faversham Homestead, in Mundaring Perth.

Camille and Barry came to us last year searching for their perfect wedding invitation and could not quite find the right thing on our website, so they approached us to create a custom design. They decided on midnight blue for the bridesmaids dresses and wanted to carry that colour through to their wedding stationery, which was to have a formal, garden wedding theme.

Camille and Barry had us use their design to create a seating chart which they had beautifully framed and positioned on a stand for guests to see where they were to be seated.

They also wanted to have a three sided menu / table number which was to sit on each table – one side had the table names, which were all creatively named after flowers, another side had the menu selection and the other had the guests names seated on that table.

Individually named bomboniere boxes were presented on the tables for each guest.

Camille and Barry told us “We loved every single moment of the day and spent the whole day laughing.”

Congratulations Camille and Barry on a stunning wedding day, thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Real Wedding – Clare & Jason

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I have the pleasure of sharing a simply stunning wedding we were fortunate enough to print the stationery for. Clare and Jason celebrated their wedding in October this year at the beautiful heritage-listed Silvermere in the Blue Mountains. They chose to invite their guests to a beautiful garden wedding with invitations from our Lilianna range.

The very talented Gemma Clarke captured the beautiful moments of  Clare and Jason’s special day.

Real Wedding – Lorelle & Sam

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

The lovely Lorelle and Sam were married on the 18th of April and were kind enough to email us a beautiful photo taken by the talented Cato and Pade Wedding Photography of the ‘Vintage Rose‘ order of service covers we put together for them.

Lorelle was also kind enough to say… “I want to thank you for the beautiful order of service covers you designed for our wedding. They were absolutely gorgeous, the Priest even commented that most people don’t go to such lengths to create something so beautiful, but he thought it showed how much meaning it had to us to value the book so much.”

Congratulations Lorelle & Sam!
