Hello Pollyanna

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

I am delighted to welcome the beautiful ‘Pollyanna‘ to the Poppiseed Designs range! The combination of the pretty yellow pattern and subtle grey text creates a delightful summery invitation, suited to many different wedding themes. It may be an elegant marquee wedding in a fragrant garden or perhaps a pretty, rustic county celebration complete with wood tables covered in pattered linens, mason jars filled with wild flowers and delightful home made lemonade stand like below…

The Spring 2010 edition of Wedding Style Guide has featured one of our latest stationery designs Flora through our wonderful stockist, Prior Engagement. I absolutely love this spread, it is so fun, fresh and all about spring! It is exactly the type of wedding I had in mind when designing theFlora invitation so I was quite thrilled for it to be included.

Is it your cup of tea?

Poppiseed Designs is excited to announce we now have bridal party invitations added to our stationery ranges! We have a fabulous new range of bridal shower invitations, kitchen tea invitations and hen’s party invitations.

Pre wedding parties are a fabulous way for the bride’s loved ones to make her feel ultra special. You could host a night of cocktails and finger food or get all the girls together for a pampering session of manicures & facials or if she really likes her wines you could take her on a weekend away at the Yarra Valley.

Tea parties are an all time favourite way to spend an afternoon with the ladies and hosting a kitchen tea for the special bride to be is a wonderful way to celebrate her upcoming nuptuals. You could host your tea party in a beautiful garden setting under the dappled shade of trees with a small group of friends or hire out a table at one of the many cafes that are set up to host a high tea.

Remember tea parties are about delicate china, pretty florals, scrumptious desserts and of course quality tea. You could serve scones with jam & cream, traditional crust-less sandwiches filled with ham and cucumber or smoked salmon and cream cheese, French petit fours and mini cupcakes.

What ever event you decide to create for the blushing bride to be, make sure to kick it off with a stylish invitation! These are a couple of our favourites…

You can’t help but feel happy and cheery with this zesty summer colour palatte of tangerine and yellow. Our newest wedding stationery design ‘Flora’ screams fun, flirty and summer! These bright colours look fabulous for a beach wedding or a garden wedding. You could decorate table settings with lemons and oranges, beautiful poppies and checkered linens. To add to the summery atmosphere serve zesty yellow and orange cocktails, lemon cupcakes and nothing is more fun than a candy bar!
